Citizen-Based Monitoring

The Kickapoo Valley Reserve, in partner with WI Department of Natural Resources (WI DNR) and other agencies, welcomes volunteers to help with various Citizen-based Monitoring (CBM) Programs, in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and/or throughout the region.

Volunteer's time commitment and level of expertise varies, but all programs are rewarding, fun, and educational (depending on how you define these words). These are excellent opportunities for the general public to participate with conservation efforts, contribute to scientific research, and to learn more of the environment. KVR staff and/or KVR Friends participate in the following programs.

Click on links to learn more about each program. If your interest is not listed, the WI CBM network  has additional ideas and programs. Contact KVR office to learn how to participate, or for assistance in finding a CBM program that fits your interest.
