- Spotted brown above, light below
- Breeding birds have streaking and spotting on neck, chest and sides
- Long yellow legs, long neck, medium-length straight bill
- White rump
- Smaller and more delicate build than similar Greater Yellowlegs
- 9.5" (24 cm.)
