Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

  • Become a volunteer for the Education Program.
  • Share your expertise through presenting a Saturday or evening program or workshop to the general public.
  • Provide the Reserve office updates of trail and river conditions.
  • Collection and disposal of litter.
  • Invasive Species Removal

Join a Volunteer Group 
The Friends of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve


Volunteer to be on a committee - Individuals interested in the management of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve can volunteer at a committee level.  The three committees that make recommendations to the KRMB Board are:
Land Management Committee
Education and Tourism Committee
Finance Committee

Adopt-a-Trail Program - Groups or individuals are welcome to assist with trail monitoring and maintenance.
Citizen-Based Monitoring in the Kickapoo Valley - Groups or individuals can help collect nature-related data for the KVR or other organizations.

    The Kickapoo Reserve Management Board acknowledges that the state and federal lands that comprise the Reserve fall within the ancestral homelands of First Nations people including the Hooçak Nation. We recognize the sovereignty of the Hooçak and other First Nations and will work towards a shared future by continuing to create collaborative opportunities to protect and preserve these lands.
