THE FOLLOWING TRAILS ARE TEMPORARY CLOSED FOR ALL USER FROM MAY 8th THROUGH MAY 12th 2013:
BLACKHAWK ROCK TRAIL,
ROCKTON TRAIL,
OLD INDIAN CREEK TRAIL. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
SEE MAP OF CLOSURE HERE
The Kickapoo Valley Reserve has an extensive system of rustic trails for equestrians, bikers, and hikers. The equestrian and mountain bike trails are open from May 1 through November 15, as weather permits. Hiking is permitted on all trails, all year.

The Kickapoo Valley Reserve will temporarily close equestrian and mountain bike trails during and/or after rain events. The duration of the closure depends on many factors, such as amount of rain, when the last rain event occurred, and the weather since the last rain event. Therefore, trails may be closed on bright sunny days if a rainfall occurred the previous day(s) or during the night. Check with the Reserve office if you are unsure of trail conditions of the KVR website homepage (on the right side under Highlights) or the KVR facebook page  for current trail status. The Old Highway 131 Trail and Star Valley Trail will remain open for Equestrain and Bike use during wet conditions (if other trails are closed).

Some trail segments may be closed to construction, or significant trail damage. Watch for signs along trails or contact the KVR office for more information.

Notice: The Reserve is open for public hunting. Consult the Reserve Calendar or contact the Reserve Office for more information.
