  • White undertail
  • Long thin tail
  • Dark wings, pale wingbars
  • Female plumage duller
  • 5.5" (14 cm.)

Habitat

  • Pine and mixed pine/hardwood forest
  • A variety of habitats in migration

  • Uncommon migrant
  • Early spring arrival
  • Winters in SE US
  • Song is a musical trill
