20th ANNUAL

DAM CHALLENGE TRIATHLON

REGISTRATION OPEN!

The Kickapoo Reserve Dam Challenge Triathlon challenges participants to compete among the rugged hills of scenic southwestern Wisconsin's rural countryside and the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. Proceeds from this event benefit the Kickapoo Valley Reserve education program.

Welcome back to the same great race - made even greater!  Experience a new and improved route!  Let's just say - putting the Dam into the Dam Challenge!  Join in to celebrate 20 years of the best Dam race around.

Boat Course - 7 RIVER MILES:  Race start 9am start. Racers using their own boat must supply their own paddles and life vests. State law requires one life vest for each person on board. Be considerate of other paddlers. River bottom and banks are muddy and a change of shoes after the paddling leg may be desirable. An extra change of clothes is helpful if conditions are rainy.  Boat rental available on registration page.

Bike Course - 14.5 ROAD BIKE MILES  The route takes you through the valleys and over the ridge in one of Wisconsin's most scenic rural landscapes. Steep climbs and rapid descents provide the ride of a lifetime! Be on the lookout for road apples! Roads will be open to vehicles, so you must obey traffic laws. Stay alert, and stay to the right. Bike helmets are required; For safety reasons, bikers are advised not to wear headphones.

Run Course - 3.5 Trail Run Miles: The trail run course uses natural surface trails through woodlands and prairies.  The landscape provides elevation changes, vistas, a true trail run experience.
